The Metellos Trade Route was a hyperspace route that lead to Coruscant,[3] a planet in the Corusca sector's Coruscant system[1] in the Interior[2] and Core Worlds regions. Coruscant served as capital of both the Galactic Empire and Galactic Republic[1] and acted as a junction onto the Corellian Run, Perlemian Trade Route,[4] Koros Trunk Line,[5] Stassia Alley,[8] Nexus Route,[7] and Namadii Corridor routes.[6] The route shared its name[3] with the Core Worlds planet Metellos.[5]
In 7957 C.R.C., Coruscant Security Force Inspector Tanivos Divo learned of a rash of pirate activity taking place along the route but uncovered little evidence. Based on what he had, Divo put out an interdivisional call for information on Weequay raiders and received a large volume of responses, with many mentioning the Weequay pirate Hondo Ohnaka of the Ohnaka Gang. Divo's grandson, Exantor Divo, later mentioned Divo's investigation relating to the route in his book, Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious,[3] which he published in 34 ABY.[9]
Behind the scenes[]
In the current Star Wars canon, the Metellos Trade Route was mentioned in the 2018 reference book Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[3] The route originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Coruscant and the Core Worlds, a 2003 supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game published by Wizards of the Coast.[10]

As Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the mission to Tatooine to 0 BBY, 8011 C.R.C. must therefore correspond to around 34 ABY. Scum and Villainy also mentions Hosnian Prime as still being capital of the New Republic, meaning the in-universe Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious must have been published prior to the destruction of the planet, which Galactic Atlas dates to 34 ABY. As the publishing must have occurred between the time of the latest entries and the destruction of Hosnian Prime, it therefore also took place around 34 ABY.
