Michael Levett worked for Lucasfilm in the 1980s as the Vice President Ancillary Activities.[2] In this capacity he supervised many of Lucasfilm's licensing and merchandising projects, including the Star Wars toys from the era.[1] He also oversaw Lucasfilm's cooperation in the production of The Empire Strikes Back radio drama.[2] Carol Titelman had worked in this role on the first Star Wars radio drama and been credited as one of its executive producers,[3] but Levett's work was uncredited. He did, however, get a credit as a voice actor: he had a cameo role voicing two announcements over the P.A. system of the medical frigate Redemption at the end of the final episode, "The Clash of Lightsabers."[4]

In the late 1980s Levett became involved in projects to expand American businesses into the liberalizing Soviet Union. In the following years he worked for the United States government, the think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies, and other institutions and businesses related to international investment, economic development, and corporate social responsibility. He died in 2020.[1][5]
