"And while we're there, perhaps I can tell you about the latest innovations Shu Industries has made in microwelding. It's very exciting."
―Hasadar Shu, to Winshur Bratt and Genial — (audio) Listen (file info)[1]

Microwelding was a field in manufacturing technology.[1] Around 34 ABY,[2] Hasadar Shu, a businessman and politician, announced that his company, Shu Industries, had made innovations in microwelding while conversing with the Corellian Engineering Corporation's Executive Records Officer Winshur Bratt and a First Order reform officer named Colonel Genial.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Microwelding was mentioned in Resistance Reborn, a 2019 novel written by Rebecca Roanhorse.[1]

Notes and references[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 Resistance Reborn
  2. Resistance Reborn takes place days after the events of Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, which are set directly after Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. Since Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the events of The Force Awakens to 34 ABY, the events of The Last Jedi and Resistance Reborn must take place around the same year, which includes Hasadar Shu's meeting with Winshur Bratt and Genial.
