The Millennium Falcon Owner's Workshop Manual is a Star Wars Legends reference book in the style of Haynes Manuals. The book covers the operational history of the starship Millennium Falcon up through the original trilogy film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. It was written by Ryder Windham, with illustrations by Chris Reiff and Chris Trevas. Haynes Publishing released the first edition for the United Kingdom on November 3, 2011, while Del Rey published an edition for the United States on January 31, 2012.
A new edition of the Millennium Falcon Owner's Workshop Manual, titled YT-1300 Millennium Falcon Owners' Workshop Manual, was published in 2018 with updates reflecting the new Star Wars canon.
Development[]
The Del Rey edition of the Millennium Falcon Owner's Workshop Manual was first announced on July 14, 2011, with an originally scheduled publication date for the United States of February 7, 2012.[3] The Haynes edition was reprinted in 2015 (after the Legends continuity had been declared non-canon) but still only reflected Legends information.
According to author Ryder Windham, the Millennium Falcon Owner's Workshop Manual is designed to be read as an in-universe work.[4]
