"The family in the next tent at the processing center didn't like how Gurtyl smelled, so—"
"They snitched. And down you fell."
―Vulaada Klam and Chelli Aphra[src]

A processing center was located in[2] Milvayne City[1] on the planet[3] Milvayne. New arrivals on Milvayne stayed at the processing center, such as the war refugee Vulaada Klam and her parents. However, Klam's father had a speeder crash on his record and her mother had a misplaced stamp on her papers. When the family in the tent next to them, who were displeased with the smell of Klam's pet qaberworm Gurtyl, reported these to the Milvayne Authority, Milvayne's law enforcement agency, Klam and her parents were thrown into Milvayne's[2] underworld.[1] Klam briefly mentioned her time at the processing center to the rogue archaeologist Chelli Aphra[2] at some point between 0 ABY and 3 ABY.[4]

Behind the scenes[]

The Milvayne processing center was mentioned in the comic Doctor Aphra (2016) 27, written by Si Spurrier and published by Marvel Comics[2] on December 12, 2018.[5]

  4. The events of Doctor Aphra (2016) 21 take place after the Battle of Yavin, which marks the beginning of 0 ABY, according to Star Wars: Galactic Atlas. Additionally, the rebel base on Hoth is still intact during the events of Doctor Aphra (2016) 40. Since Galactic Atlas also places the destruction of the base in 3 ABY and the events of Doctor Aphra (2016) 27 take place between Doctor Aphra 21 and Doctor Aphra 40, the events of Doctor Aphra 27, including the mention of the processing center, must have taken place sometime between 0 ABY and 3 ABY.
