Minfar was a backwater jungle planet in a distant region of space[2] in the Inner Rim Territories in grid square I-13 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] A distress call was sent from the planet due to the presence of a First Order battalion, and Resistance members Rey, Poe Dameron, BB-8, and Rose Tico responded to it. Branwayne Spiftz of the First Order did not find there to be anything remarkable or strategic about Minfar and was surprised to encounter the Resistance on his search for the Echo Horn on the planet.[2]
