The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

At some point by 19 BBY, MT-7's unit went on a mission to the jungle planet of Akiva in search of the crashed shuttle of a high-ranking officer of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The mission was opposed by an insurgent group, which led to the unit to have preparations made for evacuation from the planet due to the disadvantages caused by the imminent monsoon season. MT-7's unit was ultimately separated by the regional monsoon before they can evacuate the planet, resulting in the mission to be uncompleted.

After failing to connect to the relay satellite, the B1-series battle droid Unit 416 planned to detonate the Sashin separatist outpost to prevent it from being captured by insurgents. The BX-series droid commando MT-7 would be the only surviving member of the unit, who remained active by 3 ABY and was preoccupied in completing the mission.

Prelude[]

At some point during the Clone Wars, a high-ranking officer of the Confederacy of Independent Systems crashed on Akiva, a jungle planet located in the Outer Rim.[1]

The mission[]

In an attempt to locate and recover the officer, the Confederacy of Independent Systems deployed MT-7's unit—consisting of B1-series battle droids, such as Unit 416, Unit 437, Unit 647, and the BX-series droid commando MT-7—as MT-7's first mission.[1]

On Akiva, MT-7 and Unit 647 operated in a Hideout to defend the relay, while Unit 437 and Unit 416 were deployed in the field to an outpost near the village of Sashin. However, the unit was opposed by insurgents that resisted Separatist activities and has gained a large advantage over the unit from the impending storm season. After the mission was considered to risk failure, an evacuation was planned, with Unit 437 tasked to monitor enemy movements, while Unit 416 was assigned to commence a data wipe at the Sashin outpost.[1]

As the monsoon season began, MT-7's unit was eventually incapacitated and trapped on Akiva in the aftermath of a rainstorm. After Unit 416 was unable to create connection to the relay satellite in orbit of Akiva, the droid would place detonate charges near the Sashin outpost in order to deny access from the insurgents, being caught in the blast due its damaged actuators. MT-7 would eventually become the only member of the unit to survive and remain operative by 3 ABY.[2] Trapped by debris from the storm, MT-7 began to lost his sense of place and time, unaware of his surroundings and the end to the Clone Wars.[1]

Aftermath[]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars Outlaws. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon.

In 3 ABY,[2] the outlaw Kay Vess and the BX-series droid commando ND-5 discovered MT-7 at the Abandoned Hideout, who remained obsessed in ensuring the completion of the mission. Pretending to be affiliates of the CIS Special Operations, Kay Vess would promise to help MT-7 complete the mission. As ND-5 provided information to Vess and her merqaal companion, Nix, they discovered the remains of the B1 battle droids and their collected intel to return to MT-7. After MT-7 discerned that he could not create contact with the satellite, Vess piloted the Trailblazer to discover pirate jammers blocking the signal. After destroying the pirate forces and their jammers, the signal was cleared to be broadcasted.[1]

Though the Confederacy of Independent Systems has already been dissolved in 19 BBY[3] and is no longer present to receive the signal, Kay Vess and ND-5 agreed to give MT-7 an end to his duties. Returning to the Hideout, Kay Vess and ND-5 pretended to be officers of the Separatist Droid Army to declare the completion of the mission, claiming to pass commendations on behalf of General Grievous. MT-7 would give his decoder module to the crew as a gesture of gratitude, before being ordered by ND-5 to stand down and deactivate.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Mission to Akiva was first mentioned in the Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws, released on August 30, 2024. The mission was highlighted in the expert quest "The Veteran".[1]
