In 21 BBY during the Clone Wars, the Galactic Republic launched a mission to the planet Asuin, sending Jedi Generals Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi to retrieve a task force that had uncovered the coordinates of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' strategic hypermatter generators. However, the Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress destroyed J-3PO, the Republic protocol droid that had been carrying the coordinates.
