This mission took place in 3 BBY when Jahan Cross went undercover at the Imperial Research Station 61 on the planet Wayland. He was investigating Colonel Milosh Muhrlein, who was in charge of the research facility. Cross found information in the colonel's records that indicated experimental droids and devices created at the station were the same as those being sold on the black market. When Muhrlein's attempt to bribe Cross failed, Cross and his droid IN-GA 44 were attacked by Muhrlein and his two prototype battle droids, B-2A and B-2B.

IN-GA 44 destroyed the two battle droids while Cross killed Muhrlein with a device that electrocuted the colonel.
