During the Clone Wars, the Sith assassin Asajj Ventress embarked on a mission to the planet Naboo in 22 BBY as part of her hunt for a Jedi artifact. Entering Theed, Ventress crossed paths with two familiar foes, Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Evading the over-eager to fight Skywalker, Ventress attempted to claim the artifact from a Gungan child who unknowingly held the object: it was hidden within a doll the child had found. However, Ventress returned the doll to the child upon deciding finding the object for Count Dooku was not worth it, as he did not truly care about his agent's life.
