"Your final trial will be to retrieve an ancient map from the innermost chamber of Naga Sadow's tomb—which has never been breached in thousands of years."
―Overseer Harkun[8]

Around 3643 BBY, a Sith acolyte was given a task to retrieve an ancient map from Tomb of Naga Sadow having first to awaken a Dashade imprisoned in the tomb, who would help them. The acolyte complied and after going through the tomb's droid guardians and destroying several ancient droids, the acolyte released the Dashade and found out he was the renowned Khem Val. Khem Val immediately attacked the acolyte but was defeated and pledged loyalty to his victor. Now with the Dashade the acolyte was able to retrieve the ancient map eventually gaining his apprenticeship to Lord Zash.

Prelude[]

"But before you get the map, you'll have to awaken an ancient assassin called a Dashade that sleeps in the tomb. You cannot access the map without him, understand?"
―Overseer Harkun[8]

Around 3643 BBY, Overseer Harkun gave one of his acolytes an assignment to venture into the Tomb of Naga Sadow and retrieve an ancient map for Lord Zash. To get to the map, the acolyte would first have to awaken an ancient creature known as the Dashade. The Dashade would then help them find the Map.[3]

The mission[]

"Fine, little one. In my great weakness, you have defeated, so I must serve you—this is the law that binds me. But you are not my master."
―Khem Val[3]

Entering the tomb, the acolyte found themselves fighting many ancient droids, put there by Naga Sadow himself to protect the secrets of his tomb. The Acolyte then gathered the rods for the mechanism which would release the Dashade. The rods were spread across the tomb but the acolyte succeeded in gathering them and then used it with some force lightning help to turn on the mechanism freeing the Dashade.[3]

The Acolyte talked to the Dashade and found out that he was the renowned Khem Val, an assassin immune to Force powers who served the Dark Lord Tulak Hord. Khem Val then proceeded to attack the acolyte but was defeated. Considering his own rules, he decided that he would serve the one who bested him, becoming the acolyte's companion and taking them to the Ancient map. After destroying several more droids, Khem Val and the Acolyte reached a debris wall defeating a savage beast called Terentatek who was guarding the way to the ancient Map. Then the Acolyte picked the Ancient Map and left the tomb killing some opponent acolytes on the way.[3]

Aftermath[]

"Ffon will tell me me what happened, won't you Ffon? You wouldn't dare lie to me, would you?"
―Lord Zash[3]

Afterwards, the acolyte delivered the map to Harkun who gave it to the acolyte's opponent, hoping Zash would believe that it was Ffon who had retrieved the map and not the Acolyte. Lord Zash, however, saw through the lie, prompting Ffon to confess, with Zash executing him in turn. Zash then chided Harkun for his pitiful attempts to get her such an apprentice. She took the Acolyte as her apprentice instead, promoting them to Sith apprentice.[3]
