Shortly after the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Senator Padmé Amidala was sent on a mission to the planet Nooroyo by Queen Jamillia of Naboo to return members of the Torada Collective back to Naboo, including Jamillia's sister Antraya.
Prelude[]
- "It's possible that they aren't in any danger yet, but I would like to be as prepared as possible. I know you had a Jedi escort back to Naboo, and I can't send my own security officers to do this. There are Naboo all over the galaxy, and I can't be seen to favor this group."
- ―Queen Jamillia informing Padmé of the sensitive nature of her mission
While recovering from her wounds and preparing for her wedding at Varykino, Padmé Amidala was contacted by Queen Jamillia of Naboo who arrived at the senator's lake house aboard a skiff used by Naboo royalty. Talking to the senator privately, Jamillia informed Amidala that members of the Torada Collective, a collection of outsider artists, were still stationed on the planet Nooroyo and that she wanted them to be returned to Naboo from behind Confederacy of Independent Systems lines on behalf of the artists' parents.[1]
The attempted extraction[]
Upon receiving Jamillia's request, Padmé, Anakin Skywalker, and R2-D2 departed for Nooroyo aboard Padmé's personal ship. During the flight to Nooroyo, Anakin hung his cloak in a closet on Padmé's yacht. Upon landing at the artist commune north of Nooro-City, they were greeted by the commune's owner Celena who got them in contact with one of the commune's artists, Kharl. During their meeting, Kharl stated that most of the artists would prefer to remain on Nooroyo due to various reasons. After explaining this to the commune's guests, he realized the true identity of Padmé, realizing that she was the famous senator from Naboo. Upon realizing this, he told her that she had to leave immediately as Nute Gunray was on the planet brokering a deal for the planet's export of spice.[1]
When the information was revealed to Amidala, she and Skywalker rushed back to her ship, but not before she instructed Kharl to inform the artists that they had to leave immediately if they wanted to get off-world. As they were about to leave, after a droid starfighter had flown nearby and reported an inspection team would soon check out the vessel Skywalker and Amidala had arrived within, Kharl delivered them the only artist who wished to leave, Queen Jamillia's sister, Antraya. Once Antraya was aboard, the group took off before their vessel could be scanned by droid ships.[1]
Aftermath[]
Upon landing back on Naboo, Padmé reunited Queen Jamillia with her sister Antraya while Anakin remained on the ship. Afterwards, the couple returned to the lake retreat just in time for sunset to have their wedding. Padmé reflected on the reuniting of the sisters when she saw the magistrate of Hebekrr Minor reunited with family members that the senator had helped rescue.[1] Later in the war, Jar Jar Binks used the cloak that Anakin had left on the ship to disguise himself as a Jedi during the Mission to Rodia.[3]
