A mission to the Poln system was undertaken by the Rebel Alliance a few months after the Battle of Yavin when Imperial Governor Bidor Ferrouz, who claimed to harbor Rebel sympathies, proposed that the Rebels use abandoned mines and caverns on the planet Poln Minor as a base. Although Ferrouz was lying—he was actually a loyal Imperial—the Rebels escaped with plenty of war materiel that would later be used at their future base on the planet Hoth.
