Mon Cala city, also known as Mon Calamari city,[3] was the capital city of the planet Mon Cala, that was built over a coral reef and ruled by the Mon Calamari monarch. During the Clone Wars, it was the site of the Battle of Mon Cala.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The city's skyscrapers were intentionally designed to resemble Mon Calamari Star Cruisers.[4] Dave Filoni explained while answer fan questions that Mon Cala city was going to be referred to as "Dac city" at some point in the script but this reference was changed to Mon Cala city.[5] Dac City would appear in the thirteenth issue of the 2017 Star Wars: Darth Vader comic series.[6]
