- "You ever try to catch a moth? Cup your hands, chase after it, catch it? White moth, brown moth, any moth at all? You can't do it."
- ―Owerto Naiucho, explaining the name of his ship, the Moth
Moths were small species of insect no bigger than a human hand. They were notoriously good fliers, able to fly in all directions. They came in many colors, such as brown and white.[1] Some species of moth, like the umbramoth, were larger and could be a threat to any unwary traveler.[2]
