Mother was the title given to a leader in various cultures. Seven years before the Clone Wars, Mother Pran was the leader of the Open, a faction of humans that lived on the planet Carnelion IV.[3] During the Clone Wars, Talzin held the title of Mother and served as the spiritual guide of the Nightsisters of Dathomir. Prior to their near-destruction, Mother Talzin was sought out by the Nightsisters for advice. As Mother, and the most powerful witch in the order, Talzin handled all interactions with the outside galaxy.[1]
