Mount Avos was a mountain on the planet Troiken that once housed a spice mine. In 44 BBY, it was where the Republic won the Stark Hyperspace War under the leadership of Jedi Master Plo Koon.
It was the rendezvous point where Finis Valorum, Plo Koon, Adi Gallia, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Obi Wan Kenobi were supposed to meet Ranulph Tarkin and the rest of the survivors of attack by Iaco Stark. Soon after they were met by Tholme and Quinlan Vos. While moving further and further into the caverns of the mountain,Obi Wan and Quinlan awoke the Challat Eater, insects native to the mountain, from their slumber. Finding an alternate way out of the mountain, they went to a shipyard looking for a ship to get of the planet and deliver Senator Valorum back to Coruscant.
