The Mount Meru Mine was a mine located in the depths of Mount Meru on the planet of Drogheda. In 4 ABY, a militant revolutionary group captured the mine in order to force the reigning Queen Sarna to agree to their demands to set up a democratic government. As the mine was a large source of income for the ruling class, Sarna was forced to look for outside help in removing the revolutionaries from the mine. Rebel Alliance hero Lando Calrissian eventually aided Sarna in removing the revolutionaries by destroying several water tanks deep within the tunnels. The mine was flooded by water, washing Calrissian and the rebels out of the mine—regime forces then shot the fleeing rebels who survived the flood.[1]
