Mudra-jee was a meditative technique used by the healers of a temple[1] of the Force on the planet Tehar.[2] In 34 ABY,[3] Tehar natives[4] Eila and Kel attempted to use mudra-jee to keep[1] the First Order[5] stormtrooper CS-515 unconscious as he recovered,[1] after the Teharans accidentally knocked him unconscious.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
- "But then, you know, when you start making characters healers, then it sort of takes away from the urgency."
- ―Brandon Auman
Mudra-jee was originally scripted to appear in the episode "The New Trooper,"[1] the sixteenth episode of the first season of the animated television series Star Wars Resistance,[7] which aired on February 10, 2019.[8] The meditative technique was removed from the episode, but was mentioned in the episode's "Bucket's List Extra," which was posted on StarWars.com on February 11, 2019.[1] Executive producer and head writer for Star Wars Resistance[9] Brandon Auman thought the idea of Eila and Kel being healers was interesting, but felt having healers in the story would remove some urgency.[6]
