"My Spaceship, My Enemy" is a comic story written by Rik Hoskin featured in the seventh issue of Star Wars Comic UK magazine, released in June of 2014. The story focuses on Han Solo and Chewbacca and follows up on the events of the fifth issue's comic Repairs.

Plot summary[]

Around 0 ABY, the rebel smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca had just escaped Imperial stormtroopers on a deserted moon after repairing their vessel, the Millennium Falcon, which had a fried droid brain, using spare parts from T-series tactical droids. Back in orbit they are pursued by Imperial Star Destroyers and TIE Fighters.

Solo commented that the Falcon was operating slugglishly, and told Chewbacca to man the guns while he tried to escape into hyperspace. They make it to lightspeed, while the Imperial captain comments that they will turn up again.

In lightspeed, Solo makes repairs. He spots B1-Series battle droids in the inner workings, and is shocked. Chewbacca finds him, and when they return to the cockpit, they find that the Falcon has changed course to Imperial Center, heart of the Empire.

Sentries approach and demand identification. Chewbacca reports that the Falcon has been placed on a suicide mission against the Galactic Senate, and Solo realizes that the battle droids have taken control. They prepare to regain control while a Star Destroyer tries to put a tractor beam on them. Solo shoots the radar dish, allowing Chewbacca to pull the droid brains out. Solo then makes a jump to hyperspace. Solo finally comments to Chewbacca to remind him never to trust a droid.

  2. "Repairs" fearures Han Solo as a hero of the Rebel Alliance so the story should take place between Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope and Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, which The New Essential Chronology dates respectively to 0 ABY and 3 ABY.
