Mykapo was a planet[3] located in the Mykapo system[2] of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It was the homeworld of Phoenix Cell's Commander Jun Sato,[4] his nephew Mart Mattin,[3] the latter's father, and Yosh Calfor, a private who served in the Alliance Military.[6]
In 2 BBY,[7] Mykapo was the location of a space battle between the Iron Squadron, Phoenix Squadron and the Galactic Empire.[3] Some time later the Krawg pirates raided credits from Mykapo.[8]
At some point Mykapo maintained its own military to patrol the system. One of its leaders, Idrosen Gawat, later joined Resistance High Command.[9]
Behind the scenes[]
Mykapo was named after Mickey Capoferri, an executive producer of Rebels Recon and The Star Wars Show.[10]

- ↑ Dawn of Rebellion dates the events of Star Wars Rebels: Steps Into Shadow seventeen years after the end of the Clone Wars, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 19 BBY; therefore, the events of Steps Into Shadow must take place in 2 BBY. According to Star Wars: On the Front Lines, Mon Mothma's denunciation of the Galactic Empire and the Declaration of the Rebel Alliance take place 2 years before the Battle of Yavin or 2 BBY. As "Iron Squadron" is set between Steps Into Shadow and "Secret Cargo," the events of the episode must also take place in 2 BBY.
