Myomar was the site of starship maintenance facilities and supply depots used by the Galactic Empire. Han Solo stole the Millennium Falcon's deflector shield generators from an Imperial facility on Myomar.
Myomar was probably the homeworld of the Myomaran people. After the Myomaran homeworld was conquered by Grand Admiral Thrawn's offensive in 9 ABY, the Myomarans formed an organized resistance movement to Imperial occupation.
