A Naboo crest headdress was a Naboo headdress made of bronze-colored orichalc metal with a flower of life emblem. After surviving multiple assassination attempts, Senator Padmé Amidala of the planet Naboo wore a crest when she fled to her homeworld disguised as a refugee. She covered it with a lace veil while in transit, but uncovered it when meeting with Queen Jamillia at Theed Royal Palace. A later Naboo queen, Dalné, also had one in her wardrobe at the palace on the moon Onoam.

A headdress similar to Amidala's was displayed at Galactic Antiquities and Objects of Interest, Luthen Rael's gallery on Coruscant. They were also sold by Dok-Ondar at Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu.

Description[]

Naboo crest headdresses were a type of headdress worn by the Naboo, a cultural group of humans whose homeworld was the planet Naboo.[1] The crests had a halo-like disc projecting from a skullcap[5] and a flower of life motif, and they were made with bronze-colored orichalc metal.[1]

History[]

Amidala Theed

Senator Padmé Amidala wore a Naboo crest headdress to visit Theed Royal Palace before going into hiding.

In 22 BBY,[6] when Senator Padmé Amidala of Naboo fled to her homeworld after multiple attempts to assassinate her, she wore a Naboo crest headdress covered by an ocher-colored lace veil to disguise herself[7] as a refugee from the Thousand Moons system.[8] After she arrived in Theed to meet with Queen Jamillia in Theed Royal Palace, Amidala removed her veil to display her ornate headdress.[7]

During the Imperial Era, in 5 BBY,[9] a Naboo headdress similar to Amidala's[10] was on display at Galactic Antiquities and Objects of Interest, a gallery owned by Luthen Rael in the galactic capital, Coruscant.[3] He was examining the item when Kleya Marki, the gallery's concierge and a fellow rebel, informed him that one of his spies had left signs to request a meeting with him.[11] In 3 BBY,[12] Queen Dalné of Naboo owned and displayed one of the headdresses alongside other royal garments in her wardrobe at the palace on the moon Onoam.[2]

Naboo crest headdresses of the same design as Amidala's were sold at Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities[4] in 34 ABY.[13] The store was operated by the Ithorian Dok-Ondar in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu.[4]
