"Can you believe it? That's Prefect Gerom, talking with Dasar Zorm, who happens to be just the biggest racketeer on the entire planet!"
―Hailey LaMelle, to Andross[src]

Namore was a planet[3] located in the Namore system,[1] a part of the Southern Core portion of[2] the Colonies.[1] Gerom was an official on the planet who held the title of Prefect. Hailey LaMelle was considered to be Namore's most notable holonews reporter, while Dasar Zorm was a notorious local racketeer.[3]

At some point during the Galactic Civil War, Prefect Gerom met with Zorm on Namore. LaMelle and Andross, her holocam operator, filmed the meeting from across a plaza. The reporter observed Zorm opening a suitcase containing credits, as well as Gerom handing the criminal what looked to LaMelle like a document pouch, all of which made her speculate that an act of bribery was taking place. At that point, LaMelle's observations were interrupted by an individual pressing the barrel of a blaster rifle against her back.[3]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Namore appeared in "Live And In (Bleeding) Color...," a short companion narrative included in Heroes & Rogues, a 1995 sourcebook written by Paul Sudlow and Rick Stuart for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Namore system, and therefore the planet Namore, within grid square L-13.[2]
