For other uses, see Nevoota.

The Nevoota were a group in the galaxy associated with Nevoota stimulant pollen.[1] By 10 BBY,[2] the pirate queen Maz Kanata had included the pollen on a list of the most profitable cargoes for smugglers to carry in the book known as the Smuggler's Guide.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

In the new Star Wars canon, the Nevoota were first mentioned in Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide, a reference book written by Daniel Wallace and released in 2018.[1] They originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were first mentioned as a sentient insectoid species in "The History of the Mandalorians: Exploring the Evolution of a Mighty Race of Warriors," an article written by Abel G. Peña and published in Star Wars Insider 80[3] in January 2005.[4]

Notes and references[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide
  2. The entry in Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide mentioning the Nevoota is placed chronologically prior to an entry written by the criminal Tobias Beckett. Solo: A Star Wars Story depicts Beckett's death on the planet Savareen, and Solo: A Star Wars Story The Official Guide dates the events on Savareen in the film to nine years after the proclamation of the New Order. As Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the proclamation to 19 BBY, Beckett's death must occur in 10 BBY, and so his entry in the guide and those chronologically before it must all be set prior to or during 10 BBY.
