New Vertica

New Vertica was a region of the overly developed moon of Nar Shaddaa. New Vertica was often referred to as a city, although it was in reality a part of the moon-wide city that covered Nar Shaddaa. Over three hundred years before the Galactic Civil War, the region declared independence from the Hutt Kajidics. After a brief struggle, the Hutts decided to allow New Vertica to retain its independence, provided that it pay monthly tribute.^[1]
