"Nexu" is the ninth episode of the webseries Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures.[1] The episode was released on StarWarsKids.com on November 11, 2021,[2] alongside the series' tenth episode, "Charhound."[1]

Aree is brought uncomfortably close to the deadly nexu when he realizes they share a common enemy!
Plot summary[]
SF-R3 ("Aree") and CAM visit the jungles of Cholganna to a study a nexu in its natural habitat. Unknown to the two, they are being watched by a nexu which has infrared vision. The two stumble a Nexu nest, discovering bones. The two soon encounter the nexu and are forced to flee.
Later, they decide to observe the creature from a distance. The Nexu is soon trapped in an electric net by a pair of poachers. CAM wants to rescue but Aree restrains his fellow droid, claiming it is too dangerous. Aree thinks the Nexu is able to fend itself but changes his mind after the creature has trouble breaking out of its net. The poachers transport the nexu in a hoversled drawn by two speeder bikes.
The droids pursue the poachers in SF-R3's starship. While CAM flies the ship, Aree jumps out of the gangplank and frees the Nexu from its net. The angry poachers confront the droids but the grateful Nexu comes to their rescue and drives away the poachers. The grateful Nexu licks Aree, who concludes that befriending the creature makes them safer. Aree lists several fun facts including that Nexu are four eyed felines with infrared vision that makes them ultimate predators in their natural environment.

Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures — "Porgs" features porgs on Batuu, a species that Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge establishes were not present on the planet Batuu until the Resistance brought them there between the events of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Therefore, porgs must have been introduced to Batuu between those stories, which corresponds to 34 ABY per this reasoning, meaning that the events of Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures take place during or after 34 ABY.
