The Nintendo DS (officially short for Nintendo Developer's System, but also referred to as Dual Screen) is a dual-screened handheld video gaming system made by Nintendo. The upper screen is a conventional screen, while the lower screen is a touch-screen operated with a stylus. It is also voice sensitive (although only a few games use this feature). There are five generations of the Nintendo DS: the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo DS Lite, the Nintendo DSi, the Nintendo DSi XL, and the 3DS, the console's successor.
