Novka was a location where the Galactic Empire operated an Imperial Impound Yard. After Sana Starros was captured by the Empire, her ship, the Volt Cobra, was taken to Novka to be impounded. After escaping Hubin, Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, along with Starros and members of Clan Markona, visited the impound yard to retrieve the ship.

DescriptionEdit

Novka's sky contained at least one sun, with three astronomical objects visible. It also had an atmosphere that was breathable for humans.[1]

During the Imperial Era, the Galactic Empire operated an Imperial Impound Yard on Novka, taking captured starships to be impounded.[1] When the smuggler Sana Starros was captured by SCAR Squadron[2] after helping the Rebel Alliance leaders Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo escape to Hubin,[3] her ship, the Volt Cobra, was taken to be stored at the yard on Novka.[1]

Attack at Novka

The attack on the Impound Yard begins

Once the rebels escaped a skirmish against SCAR Squadron on Hubin, along with Starros and the resident Clan Markona, led by Tula Markona,[4] they the squadron's Sentinel-class landing craft to attack the Imperial Impound Yard on Novka. They crash-landed their shuttle, destroying a control tower and killing the Imperial Navy Troopers inside. Tula Markona and her clan led the attack, followed by the rebels and Starros, who broke into the Volt Cobra. Clan Markona fought their way to a YT-2400 light freighter, and both ships escaped Novka, heading to Brentaal IV.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Novka first appeared in Star Wars 61: The Escape, Part VI, a canon comic written by Kieron Gillen, illustrated by Andrea Broccardo[1] and published on February 6, 2019.[5]
