―Two nursemaids take Eeth Koth's newborn daughter[src]

After the Sith Lord Darth Vader killed the former Jedi Master Eeth Koth and his Imperial Inquisitors took Koth's newborn daughter, Vader handed the Zabrak infant over to two nursemaids upon their arrival at the Inquisitorius Headquarters on the planet Coruscant. These two individuals wore red clothing and spoke a language different to[1] Galactic Basic.[2]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

"In the script I called them the Nursemaids—but that's not official."
―Charles Soule on Twitter[src]

These nursemaids first appeared in the 2018 canon comic book Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith 19, written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Giuseppe Camuncoli.[1] Soule called the characters "the Nursemaids" in his script, though it was not official.[3]

The nursemaids in Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith 19 resembles the Kallidahin species that lived on Polis Massa,[4] the birth place of Leia and Luke Skywalker.[5]
