"He's a Nuxan. You know, a rotter. Nuxan smell like an abandoned slaughterhouse."
―Sana Starros[src]

The Nuxan were a sentient humanoid species distinguished by their unpleasant, rotten odor. The species possessed green skin riddled with brown spots, a pair of green eyes which had brown markings directly above and below, a pair of five-fingered hands, and fin on the back of their heads. Bodo Linx was a Nuxan informant during the Imperial Era who could speak Galactic Basic.[1]

Shortly after the Assault on the Mako-Ta Space Docks[1] in 1 ABY,[2] Linx met the rebel fugitives Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo, along with the smuggler Sana Starros, in a cantina on the Outer Rim world Barnahof. When Imperial stormtroopers arrived at the cantina, Starros referenced the Nuxan's odor as an excuse for the space between her and Linx where the fugitives had previously sat. After the stormtroopers left, Linx gave the rebels the location of his contact on Brentaal IV,[1] a planet located in the Core Worlds.[3]
