- ―OWO-1, moments before his destruction.
OWO-1 was an OOM command battle droid sent to make sure the dioxis gas in a conference room onboard the Saak'ak had killed Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn. He was given direct orders from Nute Gunray. OWO-1 led a Squad of OOM security battle droids into the gas filled room. The gas had not functioned as intended, and OWO-1 and the rest of his squad were destroyed by the Jedi.
Biography
OWO-1 was created by Baktoid Combat Automata some time prior to the Battle of Naboo. He was then put into service for the Trade Federation. OWO-1 was stationed aboard the Command ship Saak'ak during the Blockade of Naboo. There, he led a Squad of seven OOM security battle droids under the command of Viceroy Nute Gunray. He and his squad were tasked with the mission to see if the Dioxis gas had killed the two Jedi in the conference room. If the Jedi survived, they were to be shot on sight. His mission went uncompleted and he was destroyed along with his squad.
Characteristics
OWO-1 was designated as an OOM command battle droid by the yellow markings on his head and torso and the twin antennae mounted on his back. He was equipped with an E-5 blaster rifle. Using his twin antennae, OWO-1 could communicate with the Central Control Computer or his superiors.
