Omar Berenko was a famous and controversial Human male Naboo poet who was the former owner of the country house at Varykino centuries before the fall of the Old Republic. He was mysteriously kidnapped by unknown attackers at the same spot where Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala were secretly wed at the start of the Clone Wars. He was never seen or heard from again. Of Berenko's most famous works, his poem, "Defense of Naboo", was considered by many to be disturbing yet imaginative.
