Omman was a planet located in the Tion Hegemony of the Outer Rim.

Description

Omman was an agriworld located in the Tion Cluster along the Desevran Trace. Omman's agricultural production made it a competitor of neighboring Folende, another agriworld.

History

Omman became the site of an Imperial garrison after the Declaration of a New Order. The Empire used the planet as a base from which it could keep watch on the Calamari sector and monitor Rebel activity in the troubled Back Spiral region of the Tion Hegemony.

Behind the scenes

The planet Omman was introduced in the novelWhen the Domino Falls, placed near Socorro. But after another "Omman" was mentioned in the Tion Cluster, the first was identified as Omman Minor by the The Essential Atlas Online Companion. Although it was published later, The Essential Reader's Companion did not notice this retcon.
