Opelle was part of a subplot in the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords involving the hostile takeover of Citadel Station by Czerka that was ultimately cut from the game. As such, neither Opelle nor the Valiant appear in the final version—though Opelle's dialogue is still available in game files and a droid at the Telos Security Force offices refers to Admiral Carth Onasi's ship as the Valiant in conversation (in contrast with the subtitles and the rest of the game, which call it the Sojourn).

Judging by this latter error, Opelle may have played a role similar to that of Admirals Onasi and Cede early in the game's development.

Opelle was captain of the Valiant in 3951 BBY. When Czerka Corporation took over Citadel Station in its bid for control of the Telosian Restoration Project, Meetra Surik informed Opelle of the situation. Opelle, who was then conducting the inquiry into the destruction of the Peragus Mining Facility, instead gave orders to dock at the station and send Republic soldiers aboard.

Behind the scenes
