Ordnance and Support was a subset of the Alliance Fleet which managed support services and supply. The unit was responsible for the Fleet's transports, rescue, and replenishment craft. The crewers also handled arming, fueling, and outfitting warships. In the midst of battle, the lightly-armed craft were to stay out of the middle of the fighting, while rescue ships effected pickups when possible.[1]
