The Orto Culinary Academy was a culinary academy located on the planet Orto. After the death of Robbs Ely, Strono Tuggs uploaded Ely's recipes to the Academy, which hundreds of new students studied. Tuggs believed that Ely's name would be remembered alongside great chefs such as Jlibbous and Gormaanda,[1] though he did not believe that a degree from "the Orto" was necessary to learn how to cook.[2]

The Orto Culinary Academy was first mentioned in the short story "A Recipe for Death."[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Orto Culinary Academy Award for Engorgable Excellence was awarded to Gormaanda three times.[3]
