- "Otoh Langua was just a litta bity city, but the mackineeks hit it anyway. They chased us militiagungs from Langua all the way to the Boss Meetup in the Sacred Place."
- ―Oma Prumba
Otoh Langua, also known as Langua, was a small Gungan city on the planet Naboo. During the Invasion of Naboo by the Trade Federation[1] in 32 BBY,[2] Otoh Langua was one of several Gungan settlements attacked by the Trade Federation Droid Army. The militiagungs in the city, including the Gungan female Oma Prumba, were pursued by the battle droids until they reached the Gungan Sacred Place for the Boss Meetup, from which the Gungan Grand Army made plans to retaliate against the Trade Federation in the Battle of Naboo. Prumba later mentioned the city in a recount of the battle.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Otoh Langua was introduced to the current Star Wars canon via mention in Star Wars: On the Front Lines, a 2017 reference book by Daniel Wallace.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Otoh Langua was first mentioned in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Prima's Official Strategy Guide by Steven L. Kent,[3] released on November 7, 2001,[4] before appearing in the LucasArts video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds,[5] released on November 11 the same year.[6]
