The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

Owls were a species of non-sentient birds present on the forest moon of Endor. Logray kept one in his hut around 3 ABY, as he showed the Towani children the whereabouts of their parents using a crystal image spinner.

Biology and appearance[edit | edit source]

Owls were birds of prey, the head of which resembled that of the sentient Rishii. [2] They had speckled brown and tan plumage, with feathery ear tufts. They also had a hooked beak and glowing yellow eyes.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

"In Caravan of Courage we can also see an owl in Logray's hut and some goats looking high on a hill for a lonely Ewok goatherd."

In Drawing from the Present: Familiar Creatures in a Galaxy Far, Far Away, a 2013 article written for the Star Wars Blog by Tim Veekhoven and Mark Newbold, owls were mentioned among the many real-world animals that appeared in the Star Wars live-action movies.[3]
