The P1 was a Sphyrna-class corvette that served in the Alliance to Restore the Republic's fleet. Before the Galactic Civil War, the ship was sent by Senator Bail Organa to reinforce Commander Jun Sato's unit of the rebellion along with two other Hammerheads, the Amity's Arrow and the Duchess Senna. The three ships were stolen by one of Sato's sub-units, the Spectres, during a raid on the planet Lothal.[4] When part of Phoenix Cell, it was one of the few ships to escape the disastrous Battle of Atollon where one of the other two Hammerheads was destroyed by the Galactic Empire along with many other ships.[6]

Behind the scenes

The Lightmaker first appeared as one of the three Sphyrna-class corvettes given by Bail Organa to the Lothal rebels in "A Princess on Lothal," the mid-season premier of the second season of the Star Wars Rebels TV series released on Disney XD in January 20, 2016.[source?] It was first identified as P1 on the corresponding episode guide on StarWars.com, along with Hammerhead corvettes P2 and P3.[7]

Star Wars: The Rebel Files later identifies the three corvettes featured in "A Princess on Lothal" as Lightmaker, Duchess Senna, and Amity's Arrow, though it has not been clarified which names corresponds to the three ships.[8]

However, the markings of P1 matches that of the Sphyrna-class corvette featured in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,[3] which was also identified as the Lightmaker by the film's novelization.[2] Therefore, it is assumed that P1 was the Lightmaker shown in the Anthology film Rogue One, which premiered on December 16, 2016.[source?]
