PK-series worker droids[4] were a model of labor droid used by the Trade Federation. During the Invasion of Naboo, a number of PK units were stationed on board the Lucrehulk-class LH-3210 cargo freighter Saak'ak. Following the Battle of Naboo, several PK units were used to clean up leftover battle droids from the site.[2] The Confederacy of Independent Systems later came to use the PK-series for most support functions in their Droid Army.[5] The PK-Ultra worker droid had a similar name and existed by the time of the Resistance.[7] A PK-series named VL-44 served the Resistance as a security droid.[8]
