"And now hearing you say that makes me the luckiest little Pa'lowick the galaxy has ever known."
―Sy Snootles, to Ziro the Hutt[7]

Pa'lowicks were a sentient species of long-limbed reptilian humanoids that had spotted skin, eyes that protruded from the tops of their heads, and trunk-like mouths. Sy Snootles, the lead singer of the Max Rebo Band, was a Pa'lowick.

Biology and appearance[]

Pa'lowick's were a species of reptilian humanoids. Their most distinctive feature was their trunk-like,[2] 30-centimeter[8] snout that ended with a large pair of lips,[9] while a pair of retractile tusks protruded from their second mouth.[5] This helped them cope with the variety of conditions associated with living in swamps, and Pa'lowicks were able to use their snout as a snorkel.[6] Pa'lowicks had four[1] long, thin limbs[2] attached their rounded body. Their yellow skin was covered in blue[1] or purple spots,[3] which provided camouflage in the swamps of their homeworld.[5] A pair of bulbous[9] blue[1] eyes protruded from their head, right above their snout.[2] Instead of a heart,[10] Pa'lowicks had an organ known as a fluid sac.[7]

Pa'lowicks in the galaxy[]

Sy Snootles, a Pa'lowick from Lowick, was a popular singer and part-time bounty hunter,[11] though in secret she worked as a spy for the Hutt Clan.[4] She later chose to focus on her singing career and helped form the Max Rebo Band,[11] becoming its lead singer.[2] Another Pa'lowick worked as an announcer for the illegal Gladiator Night sporting event held at Monad Outpost on the planet Lothal.[9]

Behind the scenes[]

Pa'lowicks first appeared in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.[1]
