- "Is there anything else you desire? A new ship?"
"Your choice of weapons is lousy, Pablo. Where can I get some quality blasters?" - ―Pablo and Cad Bane
Pablo was a Rodian male arms dealer who owned a pawnshop with his partner on the planet Nal Hutta during the Clone Wars. In 20 BBY, he encountered the bounty hunter Cad Bane, who sought to acquire weapons from his pawnshop after escaping from a high-security prison on the planet Coruscant. Pablo angered Bane by suggesting that he could not afford to be picky due to being on the run. The Duros threatened the Rodian by holding a toothpick to his throat and suggested that he keep his mouth shut before leaving. Pablo and his partner—with the help of the Hutt Clan—were later able to track down Bane and his companions, the criminal Moralo Eval and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, who was disguised as the bounty hunter Rako Hardeen, with the latter ultimately being captured by Gamorrean guards.
Biography[]

Pablo is threatened by Cad Bane.
Pablo was a Rodian male arms dealer who owned a well-stocked pawnshop where he sold deadly gear with his Twi'lek partner. The shop was based out of Bilbousa Bazaar on his homeworld,[1] the Hutt Space[3] planet[4] Nal Hutta, during the Clone Wars[1] between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems.[4] The bounty hunter Cad Bane purchased from Pablo's stock on more than one occasion and was usually satisfied.[1] In 20 BBY,[5] the Duros hunter returned to Pablo's shop with fellow criminal Moralo Eval and the bounty hunter Rako Hardeen, who was in reality the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi in disguise.[2]
The trio, who had recently escaped from a high-security prison on[6] the Republic's capital planet[4] Coruscant,[6] discarded their prison jumpsuits and selected items from Pablo's stock. Along with a change of clothes, Bane picked up a new hat and gauntlets capable of spraying gas,[2] Eval took a set of combat armor,[1] and "Hardeen" obtained a helmet and shoulder armor. While they were browsing the items, Pablo asked if there was anything the convicts desired, such as a new starship. Bane stated that Pablo's weapons selection was lousy and asked where he could find quality blasters, to which Pablo replied by suggesting that the trio did not have the liberty to be picky as they were clearly on the run. In response, Bane shoved Pablo against a rack and held a toothpick to his throat.[2] Threatening the Rodian's life,[7] he told Pablo keep his mouth shut and stated that he would obtain weapons elsewhere. The bounty hunter then released Pablo, who fell to his knees and grabbed at his throat as his partner knelt beside him.[2]

Pablo and his partner receive help from the Hutt Clan.
The disguised Jedi Master could not help himself[1] and offered Pablo's partner a silver credit ingot as an apology, although the upset Twi'lek smacked the ingot out of his hand, rejecting the offer. Pablo and his partner subsequently sought out the Hutt Clan to deal with the fugitives. A Nikto guard and two Gamorreans accompanied the distressed pair and found the group. As the authorities approached, Bane betrayed "Hardeen" and sprayed him with gas that blurred his vision, kicking him off of the ramp as they took off in their new ship. Surrounding the dazed criminal, Pablo and his partner confirmed the identity of the culprit, and Kenobi was captured.[2]
Personality and traits[]
- "I wouldn't be too picky, being on the run like you obviously are."
- ―Pablo, teasing Cade Bane
Pablo was a shifty Rodian with green skin, blue eyes, and a yellow ridge of spines on his head. He spoke in a sycophantic whisper, being careful not to upset potentially violent clients. Alongside having a well-stocked shop, he had connections to the Hutts that kept the slimy trader alive on Nal Hutta. When threatened, Pablo always backed down, much to the consternation of his Twi'lek partner.[1]
Skills and abilities[]
The Rodian was capable of speaking Galactic Basic Standard.[2]
Equipment[]
Pablo wore a maroon jacket over a gray shirt with blue pants and brown shoes.[2]
