The Pacifier-class sector patrol cruiser,[1] also known as a Pacifier-class Republic ship[2] or Pacifier-class transport ship,[3] was a class of patrol cruiser utilized by the Galactic Republic during the High Republic Era. Owned by the member worlds of the Republic Defense Coalition, they were operated by a crew of one hundred. Five Pacifier-class cruisers were present as part of the Republic and Jedi Order force during the Battle of Kur against the Nihil. Two of the cruisers, the Marillion from Alderaan and the Yekkabird from Corellia, were destroyed during the battle.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Pacifier-class sector patrol cruiser first appeared in The High Republic: Light of the Jedi novel, concurrently with its audiobook, in 2021. The novel was authored by Charles Soule and published by Del Rey.[1] The Pacifier-class was first pictured in The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight 1, the first issue of a 2023 comic series. The design strongly resembles[4] concept art produced by James Clyne of the MG-100 StarFortress SF-17 heavy bomber for production of Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi.[5]
