Paddy Accu was an elderly male human who lived on the planet Naboo shortly before the outbreak of the Clone Wars. He worked as the caretaker of Varykino, an island retreat owned by the Naberrie family in the Lake Country area of Naboo.[3] When Padmé Amidalasenator for Naboo and a member of the Naberrie family—went into hiding after a series of attempts on her life, Accu transported her and the Jedi padawan Anakin Skywalker to Varykino in a gondola speeder.[1] Accu had worked there since Amidala's childhood.[4] Upon reaching the villa he helped unpack the pairs' bags from the boat. Accu had fair skin and gray hair.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

"The caretaker here is Paddy Accu, named in the script. He was gonna be the gondola driver, but I doubt you could fit three comfortably in this."
Pablo Hidalgo[5]

Paddy Accu first appeared in the now-Legends novelization of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones by R. A. Salvatore which was released in 2002[6] shortly before the film itself, which Accu also briefly appeared in played by an uncredited extra.[1] The character's name was confirmed to be canon in the reference book Ultimate Star Wars, which was released in 2015.[3]
