Pala was an individual who lived with their mother in the town Parantha on the Outer Rim planet Aricho during the High Republic Era. In 228 BBY, news of the fall of the Nihil pirates' Stormwall hyperspace barrier in its Occlusion Zone region of space—where Aricho had been located—reached Aricho, which Pala's mother became aware of, and that a meeting was to be held within the town's community hall after the local midday meal to share what was known. Pala's mother passed word of the Stormwall's fall and of the meeting to Jedi Knight Yacek Sparkburn, who in turn told Jedi Knight Imri Cantaros about it, informing him that he had been told it by Pala's mother.

A short while later, the planet's population was evacuated after the discovery of the affliction known as the blight on Aricho, and they were resettled in a town on the planet Tiikae. Pala was considered little by Sparkburn.

Pala was mentioned in the 2025 junior novel The High Republic: A Valiant Vow, written by Justina Ireland as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase III.
