- "Our orders are to recover debris samples to confirm a report that the enemy battleship was built by Quarren Separatists at the Pammant Docks."
- ―Clone Captain Lock
The Pammant Docks[7][5] were an ring-shaped shipyard that orbited the planet Pammant. The shipyard was crewed by members of the Quarren species.[2]
History[]
- "Well, I'll be. The insignia for the Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps! If that doesn't confirm the battleship was built at Pammant, I don't know what does."
- ―Clone Captain Lock, during an inspection of the Malevolence's wreckage
During the Clone Wars, the Pammant Docks were one of the most valuable shipyard of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[8] The shipyard was operated by the Quarren engineers of the Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps[5] who manufactured assault frigates and battle cruisers there for the Confederacy military.[9] It was at Pammant Docks that were produced Providence-class carrier/destroyers,[10] including General Grievous' Invisible Hand.[5] The shipyards were most famous for constructing the massive Subjugator-class heavy cruisers,[2] including the Malevolence and the Devastation.[11] Following the destruction of the Malevolence, clone troopers of Breakout Squad were tasked to search through the cruiser's debris to found evidence that the warship had been constructed by the Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps at Pammant.[6] Near the end of the Clone Wars,[2] the Pammant shipyard was attacked by the Galactic Republic. During the battle, the Republic Praetor-class Star Battlecruiser Quaestor's was damaged and collided with the planet.[8] The accident bathed the shipyards and the planet in radiation, killing every living being in both locations.[2]
