Pantolomin was an astromonical object located within the Core Worlds[1] and the Interior regions.[2] Situated in grid square K-9 on the Standard Galactic Grid, the celestial object was connected via hyperspace routes to the nearby astronomical object Borleias and[1] the planet[3] Coruscant.[1] Its name was shared by the Pantolomin cruiser, a type of luxury cruiser utilized by the Black Sun crime syndicate.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
Pantolomin was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon on a galactic map in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a 2016 boxed set in Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars Roleplaying series of products.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Pantolomin first appeared in 1992's Dark Force Rising, the second entry in the Star Wars: The Thrawn Trilogy of novels by Timothy Zahn.[5] It was later depicted in an illustration by Mike Nielsen and Dana Knutson that was included in the Dark Force Rising Sourcebook, authored by Bill Slavicsek for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and published in the same year.[6]
