The Paralyngian dire slug was a bloated gastropod credited to be discovered by the Devaronian hyperspace trailblazer Viron Ghartoth. By Ghartoth's standards, the slug was deemed "excellent" when lightly broiled. Ghartoth once presented his patron, Gerba the Hutt, with a dish of the slugs in fruit sauce, however Gerba had a virulent allergic reaction. Gerba never fully recovered, and from his sickbed, Gerba had Ghartoth slowly devoured by a captive acklay.[1]
