Parawings were wing-suits that extended from wrist to ankle. They were used by several New Republic Special Forces soldiers including Sergeant major Jom Barell to infiltrate the Imperial-held world of Akiva following the Battle of Endor. Barell's fellow soldiers were hit by Imperial laser fire during the descent but Jom survived and took part in the Rebellion on Akiva.[1]
